‘Speaking on the question of an improved railway service on the Richmond line at the conference meeting in conjunction with the Hawkesbury District Progress Association on Monday evening last, Dr Watson stated that from the information received, the Richmond line was returning £50 less per year than it was before the fares were reduced’.
