Stage One of Bligh Park Development opened December 1985 with 450 Lots, then 1987 with 216 Lots. Joint Venture between Hawkesbury Shire Council and NSW Department of Housing. The area was formerly 200 hectares of Crown land encompassing the Rifle Range and Temporary Common.
The subdivision was named after William Bligh, Governor of NSW 1806-1808.
A neighbourhood of about 200 ha, about 7 km WNW of Riverstone and to the S of South Windsor. Boundaries within the Hawkesbury Council area shown on map GNB 3716.
