Caselin Farm is located at 872 East Kurrajong Road, East Kurrajong, New South Wales. The property is significant to the local history of East Kurrajong and the Hawkesbury region. The property was home to several generations of the Case family including Harold Arthur Case who developed the early ripening apricot known as the Caselin Apricot commencing his research and development in the 1930s. By 1946 there were about 600 Caselin trees fruiting on the property and other farmers in the district were also putting in the new variety.
The name Caselin was derived from Harold’s surname and that of this wife, Gertrude C Schmidlin. Harold was born at East Kurrajong, then known as Bullridge in April 1902 and passed away at Springwood in May 1994. He was the son of Arthur Edward Case and Florence Edith Cartwright (Micock).
Consisting of 5 acres of land, Caselin is part of the larger 40 acre grant of Portion 14 of the Parish of Currency, County of Cook which was granted to John Buttsworth in November 1897. Harold Case purchased the 5 acre property in September 1924 from James Mitchell Arthur.

Excerpt from Certificate of Title Volume 1234 Folio 223 showing Portion 14, the Conditional Purchase made by John Buttsworth in 1878 which was then granted in November 1897.
