The Merroo Crown Reserve is located at 855 Comleroy Road, Kurrajong,New South Wales. This portion of land described as Portion 149 Parish of Merroo County of Cook amounting to about 5 acres was notified in the New South Wales Government Gazette on 31 August 1910 as reserve for public recreation No. R45,712. The reserve was cut from the adjacent Portion 91 of about 56 acres. The local government body, Colo Shire Council was appointed as trustees of the reserve rather than citizens drawn from the local community as was often the custom.
In 1932, a survey of the land was made which showed the dimensions of the block and that both a tennis court and a cricket pitch been constructed thereon. The name of the reserve has been recently applied having previously being designated an unnamed reserve. A pleasant walking track winds through the reserve which contains an interesting and colourful display of flora especially in Spring.
