Richard Street is a road in the town of Richmond, New South Wales. It runs in a north-westerly direction from Moray Street and is not a through road.
In April 1888 the NSW Government Gazette published the notice that several unnamed streets had been named by the Richmond Borough Council.
This short lane was named after Richard Clough who married Sarah Cornwell, daughter of Ann Eaton and John Cornwell, at Richmond in 1870. After serving on Richmond Borough Council for a number of years, Clough moved to Katoomba in about 1900 where he operated several businesses including being a coach proprietor and a fruit and confectionary shop.
