Woonona

Woonona is located at 830 East Kurrajong Road, East Kurrajong, New South Wales and is sited next to East Kurrajong Farm Machinery shop. The house was built in 1923 for Councillor Alfred Buckland of Colo Shire Council. Alfred Buckland passed away at Blaxlands Ridge in 1950 aged 75 years. At that time he still held the record for the greatest number of years of service as Shire President.

Mr Fred Case has just completed for Cr. A. Buckland of East Kurrajong, a very nice four-roomed fibro-cement cottage, with bathroom, laundry and office. The floors have been done with inlaid hardwood, the dining room and hall in jarrah, and the bedrooms in oak. They give the rooms a fine appearance. The whole of the work has been splendidly done by Mr. Case.
